OneWe started out of a Lawn room.
Loaded teas were already big elsewhere and hadn't reached us yet. So we made a batch in 5W and handed them to whoever walked past. Enough people asked how to help that we filed the paperwork and became a CIO. There's an exec team now, and the menu changes most weeks.
TwoMost of the menu came from other clubs.
Cavalier Crush and Rotunda Rush came out of a pop up with UVA Transfers. Code Blue and AED-licious are CavsCARE's, and they picked the names. The Virginia Gentlemen gave us Bow Tie and Encore. If your club wants to do one, just ask. We pretty much always say yes.
ThreeThen you scan the code and pick somebody.
It's three questions: who it's for, what you want to say, and whether you want to sign it. People have sent them to roommates and to a professor who let them turn something in late. One went to the guy who found a lost ID and walked it over at seven in the morning.
The hard part is picking just one person.
FourThen we go find them.
Drinks have gone to facilities staff, to a dorm at midnight, and once to the president's office. We hand over the cup and the note and get out of the way. Most people read it standing right there.
